With the weather warming up and school holidays rapidly approaching, here are our top picks for September car events and shows to mark on your calendar.

Unsurprisingly, it’s not just the revheads that love the iconic vehicles of yesteryear. Iconic cars don’t only appeal to car lovers, but also attract those passionate about engineering, design, art and yes, history. Before cars were built for efficiency and speed, it was about the experience, style, exclusivity and ultimately, craftsmanship – making them timeless works of art.

While the appeal of classic cars often varies depending on who you talk to, it’s no secret that classic car enthusiasts all speak the same language, and all share the same passion for the vehicles of a bygone era. To get a grasp on just how rewarding being involved in this community can be, all you need to do is stop by one of the many September car events and shows being held across South East Queensland in the upcoming weeks.

Our Recommendations For September Car Events

An auto show, motor show or car show, is a public exhibition of either current automobile models, debuts, concept cars, or out-of-production classics. While many are open to anyone in the community, they are often attended by automotive industry representatives, dealers, auto journalists and car enthusiasts. While some car shows happen once a year, others happen once a week. Larger scale events can also be incorporated into automotive festivals, which usually also include racing, food stalls and event markets.

Considering the ever changing conditions in relation to public gatherings and events, it’s no secret that Queenslanders are itching to get outside and make the most of their weekends, especially now that the weather is starting to warm up. Thus, if you’re on the hunt for a day out that involves admiring an engine or two, here are our top picks for September car events and shows scheduled for the start of spring.

The very best part about many of the South East Queensland based September car events is that the hosts welcome the general public, as opposed to making them exclusive for club members only. The idea is that car enthusiasts generally want to share their passion, especially when it comes to sparking an interest in vintage cars for the next generation.

Your Guide To Everything Classic Cars

Finding a fellow vintage auto enthusiast can feel a bit like finding a needle in a haystack, but rest assured that Classic’s Garage understands the thrill more than most. Having spent forty years collecting anything and everything from matchbox cars to hub caps, he’s successfully followed his passion to source, collect and stock beautiful and low mileage classic automobiles from around the world. With extensive experience in the automotive industry, it was only a matter of time before Wayne expanded on his love of vintage, iconic vehicles to share his knowledge and passion with the public.

Although his passion is for automobiles built before 1978, with a particular love for Buicks, Cadillacs, Lincolns, Oldsmobiles and even Fords, Wayne is just as passionate about the stories of the owners. Just like the cars, he has found that his fellow classic car enthusiasts all have wildly different attractions and logic behind their passion or hobby, and this often translates into how the car is presented. If it’s even remotely different, rare or just plain unusual, Wayne will overcome the relevant logistical and geographical challenges of bringing the cars to his showroom in Australia.

Classic’s Garage is a showroom conveniently located at Seventeen Mile Rocks, that specialises in the restoration and sales of vintage automobiles. If you’re on the hunt for Brisbane classic cars – quite simply, Wayne is your man.
